I-11 DRAFT TIER 1
The purpose of I-11 is to provide a corridor from Mexico to Canada to enhance trade between the US and these countries. At this point, the Draft Tier 1 EIS (Environmental Impact Statement) has proposed two alternatives as I-11 approaches Wickenburg from the north. Both of these
routes are too close to Vista Royale, and threaten to destroy many of the things that Vista Royale is known for....miles of riding and hiking trails, beautiful desert views, several tanks used for wildlife, and peaceful starry nights, unobstructed by freeway lights and noise. If I-11 is not moved to the west, it will also have a dramatic impact on property values in
Vista Royale.

ADOT designs a corridor with the belief that the Town of Wickenburg needs the I-11 corridor to be as close as possible to the Wickenburg Town Limits.
The VR Green Alternative

Vista Royale presents a compromise corridor (VR Green Alternative) to ADOT assuming that the connector point on Hwy 93 was permanently fixed. This was our starting point on a plan to revise the ADOT corridor.

Town of Wickenburg "Proposed Roadway"
June 2019
In response to the outcry from Vista Royale residents and friends, the Town of Wickenburg passes a resolution stating that it does not need the I-11 corridor to be near it's northwest town limits. The Town of Wickenburg supports moving the connector point to MP 186 and the corridor to the West of Vista Royale.

The VR2 Corridor

Vista Royale agrees with the Town of Wickenburg's request to ADOT to move the Hwy 93 connector point to MP 186. Vista Royale requests that the path of the corridor be moved a distance to the west in addition to that proposed by the Town of Wickenburg. This will meet the Needs and Purpose of the residents of Vista Royale, and is the Preferred Solution!
We have a small "Window" of opportunity to "Let Our Voice Be Heard", and prevent this from happening to our Views & Vistas!
